Since I was studying at junior high school I had a great appeal to computer and programming , from that time I heve recognized what I want . Now I’m studying in seventh semester and don’t have any compunction of my selection.
Computer major has a great potential for finding a career and imigration . If you become vocational your salary will be pleasing as well satisfactory in whole of the world , I mean you won’t need just work in one organization , you can take projects from different corporations .
You will always face with harsh situations and problems , maybe in the time of your studying or not . At first solving your problems would be a bit hard espacially when you have just entered the university . In highschool everything was solved by your teachers , but in university your doctors expect you to go , search and find the response of your questions . Become used to this condition is hard , but PRACTICE MAKES EVERYTHING WELL . After a while you would notice that you achive this capability to solve your problems by your own.
Your degree is really consiquential for migration and to be hired having BA is necessary , but in university you will only be taught incipient lessons so you have to learn other things from searching in youtube ,reading books , etc–>in this case you have to expand upon your english vocabs .
As a conclusion take serious your lessons from the first , don’t pay attension to lazy people and who just complane and nag at everything . fortunatly IUST has great facilities and you can try whole of the fields of your major and then become professional in it . For example I really like designing games and mobile apps . You can also find your desire and fallow.
Miss Zahra Hajihashemi
After gettiing MA I have decided to migrat for PhD degree in order that American and European universities are much ahead of Iranian ones in computer science and they push the boundaries of knowledge and technology by doing projects .
Finally by taking English test as well as publishing some articles I succeed to become accepted by one of the America universities.
Enter the labor market while you are studying as a foreigner student in each country has its own rules and regulations . In America you are not permitted to work out of the university except during a short training course so I have take this chance by becomming engaged in Monsanto Company .
I applied for finding career in some different companies after PhD defencing through my offers I chose Apple ,now I’m performing icloud machine learning projects in a team approximatly for 3 years .I’m really satisfy from what I have down and the path which I chose . I have learned many things , but tolerate many difficulties such as separation from family , long-term working hours and studying that have been coused when I was studying for PhD . The most impretive things was becomming used to a multinational society like America , how to behave with different kind of people and how to live .
Experience , experience and experience . For finding skill in computer major the best thing to do is doing computer projects in your own field so in this way you can learn many things . Unfortunately in Iran atleast when I was studying everything was being taught in a theory way for that reason we didn’t have much practical experience .
